The German Shepherd Dogs are also known as "GSD" and "Alsation", their breed closely resembles the Wolf than any other dog breeds.

German Shepherd Dogs are the most popular dog breeds in the world, they are known for their high intelligence. They are fiercely loyal, obedient, confident, courageous and are protective about their human families. They are smart dogs and excellent work dogs. They are good companions and are excellent with kids. They are used in most specialized jobs as police dogs, combat dogs, body guards,and companions. 

German Shepherd Dogs are territorial by instinct, they do not run away from fights in any situation. They are not friendly with strangers and they do not like any unwanted visitors. They are very friendly with kids and protective. 


German Shepherd Dogs are of three varieties categorized according to their types of hair.  
  • Coarse and short haired
  • Coarse and long haired. 
  • Wavy and long haired.
